MAP Testing Parent Notice
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We would like to inform you that Missouri MAP and End-of-Course (EOC) testing will begin in our district on Tuesday, April 28th- May 15th, 2026. These assessments are required by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) and are designed to measure student progress toward the Missouri Learning Standards. Students in designated grade levels and courses will participate in these assessments, which provide valuable information about individual student achievement as well as overall school performance. Results from these assessments help guide instructional decisions and support continuous improvement within our schools. These state assessments are an important measure of student learning and academic progress, as well as a reflection of our school’s overall performance.
To help your student do their very best, we ask for your support in a few key areas:
Ensure your student gets a good night’s sleep each night during the testing period. Being well-rested helps with focus, memory, and overall performance.
Encourage a healthy breakfast each morning to provide energy and concentration.
Arrive on time to school, as testing sessions will begin promptly. Students that arrive late and miss the start of the assessment, will not be allowed to enter the secured testing room and will need to make up their testing.
Promote a positive mindset, reminding your student to take their time and give their best effort.
We understand that testing can sometimes feel stressful for students, but with your encouragement and support, they can approach it with confidence. We appreciate your cooperation and support in helping ensure a smooth and successful testing experience. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Carrie Pummill
